Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "your") and Madni Aghadi ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the LooksMax mobile application (the "App" or the "Service").
By installing, opening, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The Service
LooksMax is an entertainment app that uses on-device face detection together with a third-party AI vision model to return descriptive scores, labels, and a personalised daily routine based on selfies you provide. Use of the AI features requires you to explicitly consent on a separate in-app screen before your first scan; see our Privacy Policy for the details of which AI provider receives your selfies.
The scores returned by LooksMax are entertainment only. They are not medical, dermatological, cosmetic, psychological, vocational, or romantic advice and must not be relied on for any such purpose.
2. Your account and anonymous sessions
LooksMax does not require an email, phone number, or social login. The App creates an anonymous session bound to your device's secure storage on first launch. That session is your "account" for the purposes of these Terms.
You may delete your data and end your session at any time via Settings → Delete my data.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and free trial
3.1 Subscription products
LooksMax offers paid subscriptions ("Pro") that unlock features such as AI face scans, full result details, and routine history. Subscriptions are sold under the names and prices displayed in the App at the moment of purchase.
3.2 Billed through Apple / Google
All subscriptions are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store), not directly by us. By purchasing you also agree to Apple's or Google's terms of service for in-app purchases.
3.3 Auto-renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (e.g. weekly or yearly) at the displayed price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID / Google account on confirmation of purchase and on each renewal.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or Play Store → Subscriptions on Android.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current period.
3.4 Free trial
If a free trial is offered, your subscription begins (and your Apple ID / Google account is charged) at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Apple and Google may limit trials to one per user / household — they, not us, enforce that.
3.5 Refunds
Refunds are governed by Apple and Google. We do not control refunds and cannot directly issue them. You can request a refund from the platform that processed your payment (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: from the order in your Play Store account).
3.6 Price and feature changes
We may change prices or features for future renewals. We will notify you in-app before any such change takes effect for your subscription.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload selfies of anyone other than yourself, or images of minors in any form.
- Upload nudity, sexual content, violence, hate speech, or any content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Upload deepfakes, AI-generated faces, or attempts to manipulate the model.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, credit limits, age gates, or rate limits.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the App except to the extent that local law permits.
- Use the App or our AI scoring outputs to make hiring, lending, insurance, dating, vocational, or other consequential decisions about any individual.
- Use the App to discriminate, harass, or harm any person or group.
We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate this section. We may also delete content that violates it.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of every selfie you upload. By uploading a selfie you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to process, transmit, and store it solely to:
- Run your face-rating scan via the third-party AI services disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
- Show you the resulting scan card and your scan history.
- Generate your personalised routine.
This licence ends when you delete your data. We do not use your selfies for marketing, advertising, model training, or any purpose beyond delivering the Service.
You are responsible for the content you upload. You represent that you are the person in each selfie or have a legal right to upload that image.
6. Our intellectual property
LooksMax (the App, the brand, the result-card design, the routine templates, the on-device experience) is owned by Madni Aghadi and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership.
The third-party AI model and other third-party software components we use are owned by their respective rights-holders and used under their licences.
7. AI disclaimer
The AI returns scores and labels that are estimates produced by a statistical model. The model has limitations and may produce inaccurate, biased, or inconsistent outputs. We make no representation that the scores reflect any objective standard of attractiveness, health, or value. You agree not to treat the scores as factual claims about you or anyone else.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The App and the Service are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the App is uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses.
- We do not warrant any specific result from using the App.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) fifty US dollars (USD 50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability — in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us, our agents, and our affiliates harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable lawyers' fees) arising out of:
- Content you upload to the App.
- Your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
- Your misuse of the AI scoring outputs.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your data at any time via Settings → Delete my data.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You materially breach these Terms.
- Continued service to you would expose us to legal risk.
- We discontinue the Service (we will give reasonable notice in-app where possible).
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid period — refunds are governed by Apple / Google as described in Section 3.5.
12. Apple-specific terms (iOS users)
The following terms apply only to use of the App on iOS. They are in addition to (and prevail over, where conflicting) the rest of these Terms. They reflect Apple's required end-user-licence terms (Schedule 2 of Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement).
- Parties. These Terms are an agreement between you and us. Apple is not a party to these Terms. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Scope of licence. The licence granted to you is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
- Maintenance and support. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for providing any maintenance or support for the App.
- Warranty. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for any warranties (express or implied by law to the extent not effectively disclaimed). If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation, including in connection with the App's use of HealthKit, HomeKit, or any equivalent.
- Intellectual-property claims. In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo or that has been designated by the US Government as a "terrorist-supporting" country, and (b) you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer name and address. Madni Aghadi, contactable at support@looksmaxapp.com.
- Third-party terms. You agree to comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App (for example, your wireless data plan).
- Apple as third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and that, upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the rest of this section, the courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or related to these Terms.
Nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country you live in.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the App changes or laws require. Material changes will be presented to you as an in-app notice the next time you open the App and you will be asked to accept the new Terms before continuing to use the AI scanning features. If you do not accept, you may stop using the App and delete your data.
The Effective date at the top indicates the current version.
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about LooksMax.
